Well it took me almost a year to get these images up (next round of Grad parties already coming up real soon!) but if you want to watch what Tasty Tunes, Cool Kids and good planning will get you… then enjoy. This was our 5th Event for theKenter Canyon Elementary Charter School, our 2nd Event for Jane Kluck andAliso Viejo Middle Schooland our 1st one for Evette Knight andTopeka Elementaryin Northridge. Feel free to forward this link to the other parents, nothing like watching your kid getting his or her groove on.
Here is some footage of another B’nai Mitzvah we did for the Solkow family last June at the Newport Dunes Resort in Newport Beach. Two B’nai Mitzvahs in 1 year, that is sort of bizarre! Jenna & Nicole where two awesome girls/Sisters who really just wanted to dance and have a good time, and mom & dad (Anne & Stuart) wanted to make that happen for them. On this event we brought our Video Dance Party Package, which makes it fun for everyone, even the non-dancers where entertained by the selections of old and new videos. The staff of the Dunes Resort where very helpful and easy to work with and I have to say this is a very cool place to have any sort of event in the Orange County area.http://www.newportdunesspecialevents.com/Family.html
We have been handling events at the Sunset Restaurantfor many years, and if you haven’t been to the restaurant after a day at Zuma beach for a quick appetizer and drink at the bar or a great dinner, then you have been missing out on a hidden gem. If your looking for a great LA Wedding place to get married on the beach, (really on the beach and not just near it), then you should check this place out and schedule a walk through with the great girls in the banquet department. Your beach wedding ceremony takes place across from the restaurant (some rules apply), and then your guests stroll back to the restaurant for the reception.
As a referred wedding vendor we have some insights on how to make your day easier and we are pleased to show you the results of a few of our clients weddings in some video footage we took with our little flip camera. We don’t pretend to be great videographer’s (Call Envison Video in Westlake Village for that), but we do try to catch the essence of our events to show you a true vision of what you should expect at your event. Call us today to book an appointment to discuss your event. 1-800-993-2623.
Los Angeles Wedding DJ – Tasty Sounds Entertainment – https://www.tastysounds.com – (818) 787-5417
So the awesome married team ofRon Levy Photography (949-280-6001) just sent us some brilliant pictures from the B’nai Mitzvah we handled last March at the Hyatt Regency in Newport. Tasty Sounds handled the entertainment and the lighting production. It was a great team effort on everyone’s part including Michelle Capanelli from the Hyatt, Ron & Gabrielle Levy,Shawna Yamamoto of Yamamoto Design and Melinda Gilchrist of Gilchrist Video. Both families couldn’t have been any cooler to work for, and the girls and all their friends where really delightful. This was our second event for Nancy & Paul Schneider and it was great seeing Nick get to kick back without any pressures on him. The Tasty Team was myself (DJ Alvis), DJ Brian, and Dancers Billy & Jen who got the crowd rocking, and our Creative Lighting Tech George brought it all home.
Sometimes I come across something so creative I just have to step back and breathe. Can you imagine coming home after working your hard job and getting back to work on your video project that is this complicated. Kina Grannis, 26 did just that with this video using 288,000 jelly beans and a concept idea by director Greg Jardin. Production was very intense for each of the 2,460 individual frames, and a crew had to build a jelly bean portrait out of thousands of jelly beans which Grannis would then lay down on a piece of glass mounted over the jelly beans. The topper to this video is that the song is really great, and I will definitely add it to the Tasty Sounds play-lists.
So sometimes we get to do things that my other DJ friends will say “no way how cool is that!”, and handling a Wedding at the top of Mammoth, where I have spent many a day with the same DJ buds skiing and partying, is just such an occasion. Ariel & Marco Navaro wanted to have a wedding in a place that was truly special to the two of them and Mammoth was it. After taking my family to the top and showing where daddy skis I was off to the races. I did have to take a Gondola up with my equipment (that was a challenge) and back down by myself in the dead of night, pretty spooky, especially since the only guy left with me is hurrying around locking up the place so that the bears don’t get in. One of my shots is of the cornice (top of Mammoth, and one of my favorite runs) and as I pan down you will see the first dance, pretty cool moment for me, (and I’m sure for Ariel & Marco). So if your question is do you travel, the answer is YES! (for a few $ more of course). Interested in having your event on a world class mountain? Then contact Steve Roby the Director of Special Events up at Mammoth and he and his great staff will take care of you.
This is our second time working for the Rosenberg family, and once again it was a great experience. Kevin & Julie are the perfect parents who know what they want and step back and let you deliver it. We had done Josh’s party in 2008 and it was also at theCenter Clubin Costa Mesa, and this time for Shaina it was a jungle club theme. I had DJ Brian with me as well as my Two best dancers Billy & Jen who always bring their A game to every event. Our ultra cool Black Light package was added on as well as some of our club lighting, which as you can tell in the video really gives this great room an extra pump. Enjoy the video and listen for those girls singing Katy Perry at the top of their lungs, YOW!
Westlake Village wedding DJ; DJ Brian was at the Calamigo’s Ranch in Malibu to handle the Disney themed Wedding of Brittany & Michael Ruff. The couple, had a Disney vision which you can see in our video brought together by Brian (a huge Disney fan) and Top Wedding Coordinator, Mindy Roderick – mindyandcoevents.com/– We also had the chance to work with a perfect photographer for this wedding Jen Disney –jendisney.com/blog/ (perfect right ?). Brian mentioned that both women made his Los Angeles Wedding DJ job easy and you can see a few of Jen’s photo’s in the video. The couple definitely had fun jamming and even though the dance footage is dark you can see those light ropes jumping around :).
Castle Reception Recap at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu
So we have featured this wedding once before on this blog, but I just recently got the professional video footage of the wedding from my good buddy Doug Brannigan a videographer fromEnvision Productions and his camera captured the true color, energy and style of the whole day, way better than my crappy attempt with my little Flip Vid. Side note, his brother Mike “David Michael Photography” was the Photographer on this event at the world famous Calamigos Ranch (Pavilion Room).
This was a wedding where I was the MC/DJ & the Lighting Designer, and it was probably one our most creative lighting jobs yet. Check out the deep colors of that room, it was awesome and magical, (my lighting crew rocks!). If your looking for a Los Angeles wedding DJ who can take your party to that next level, then this is the company.
Tasty Sounds DJs are your Southern California DJ Company. Our DJs come equipped to improve any function, small or large, into an extraordinary event that the friends will probably be raving about for many years!
We just got ahold of the photos from Jacob’s Bar Mitzvah, courtesy of Sharon Pulcino ofCreative Visions Photography– 714-838-9996 and they capture all the energy and excitement of that special evening. The event went real smooth thanks to the efforts of Cindy Lee at theUCI Club in Irvine, and of course the family Barry, Jantana, Jacob and their fireball little brother were equally easy to work for. We did play a few games that everyone knows like “LIMBO” and “Scavenger Hunt/Musical Chairs” but we also included a game you may ot see very often at other Mitzvah’s called “DUEL” which is a tricky version of the 2 man tug-o-war, great for Girls, Boys, & Men!
