We have handled 2 other OC Bar Mitzvah’s and one Bat Mitzvah at the El Adobe Restaurant in San Juan Capistrano and each time we have worked here it has been the most amazing time. This is a great place for a Bar Mitzvah, OC Wedding or Holiday Corporate event; it has a ton of room to move around, a huge bar and the very best moment is when a member of the super chill staff, hits the button and the roof opens up to the beautiful night sky, (it really is amazing). The Mexican food they serve is also spectacular, just wished we lived a little bit closer. Sam was a really great young dude, and he really enjoyed dancing with his friends, family, and getting down with his Orange County Bar Mitzvah DJs. When you watch the video you will see his great choreographed dance opening, a huge crowd filled Hora, and some fun footage of our Tasty Sounds Black Light experience, keep an eye out for some of the cool dance moves that his buds throw down. Mom & Dad, Jennifer and Terry Portnoff where great fun and easy to work with, and we look forward to helping them out with their daughters event in the future. One of the best things parents can do once everything is planned, is just have fun, and if you work with us, that is exactly what you will do.
We definitely want to give credit to our photographer Aaron Huniu who provided a few of the great photos that we have included and we got to work with a young and very creative Videographer from Firebolt Films, who gave us some great footage to work with for our little recap video. The Portnoff family attend Temple Beth El in Aliso Viejo,so if you meet them and need a great LA Mitzvah DJ ask them how it went.

So I’m still trying to catch up with some of the past parties of 2010, and here is some more footage from a very creative and fun Bat Mitzvah at the Santa Monica Pier. If you familiar with the carousel at the Santa Monica Pier then you know what a cool place this is to have an event, and if your thinking about it, make sure you contact Jim Harris and he will hook you up. Tasty Sounds was picked for this event because Joanne Jellin ” the Grandmother” saw us in 2007 at Marissa Weinberg’s Mitzvah at the Calabasas Country Club and still remembered what a great time she had and wanted the same for Gaby, so we helped bring it all together. A big part of Gaby’s life was her passion for Broadway, Theatre and her friends who are associated with it, and we worked on making sure that we highlighted various moments throughout the evening, which is what a good DJ should do, (it’s not always about the dancing!).
Hannah Katz had her Bat Mitzvah at the Celebrations Room in Costa Mesa, which is under the Turnip Rose Umbrella, and it was a very magical afternoon. If you haven’t had a chance to check out this location yet please go see it and talk to Chrissy Sherbanee who is the Director of Special Events, and if your short on time watch the video, because I was trying to capture every angle possible. Chrissy and her staff are amazing and the effort they make will create a really smooth event. The Tasty Sounds crew are always on top of it, but these guys take it to the next level, (in a good way). Also on the party was one of our favorite Photographers Ron Levy, who always makes our day much easier. Go check out his website, and yes he’s in Orange County, but all my Los Angeles people should be checking him out, he’s that good. And finally Hannah & the whole Katz gang, what a great family. Hannah is like a young Selena Gomez, very poised throughout the whole day, not a misstep (even in 7 inch heels). Mazel Tov to everyone involved, including one of my new DJ’s, Franciswho recently moved here from Hawaii (an amazing battle/Scratch DJ) who got to participate in his very first Mitzvah. Now go watch the VIDEO!!!!
Well It was over a year ago, but we finally put together some highlights of Marissa’s special event!! It was a beautiful day at the Hills Hotelin Laguna CA. We were honored this was our 2nd Collins mitzvah. It was awesome to see so many familiar faces (shout out to the Shoeberg family). DJ Kevin was backing me up spinning the tunes. The Mummy Wrap game is featured in this video. It’s always great to get some of the parents involved. I think they were having more fun with it than the kids! We had an amazing afternoon with the Collins family once again. -DJ Brian

Proven Orange County Bar Mitzvah & Orange County Bat Mitzvah DJ
For more than 20 years in Orange County we’ve specialized in providing talented, energetic Orange County Bar Mitzvah DJs, MCs, Dancers, and Sound & Lighting Technicians who are enthusiastic, and focused on the outcome of your event. We take pride in making your party an occasion you and everybody else will not forget, and our Orange County Bat Mitzvah DJ could make those memories last a lifetime.
Are you going to travel to my Orange County Bar Mitzvah?
Absolutely, but you are invited to visit our home office where you will meet face to handle utilizing the Orange County Bar Mitzvah DJ who will perform at your event, and we’re confident that at the conclusion of that meeting you can expect to want Tasty Sounds to manage your event, just as a lot of other Southern California Bar/Bat Mitzvah DJ Clients just before have decided to accomplish.
Here is some footage of another B’nai Mitzvah we did for the Solkow family last June at the Newport Dunes Resort in Newport Beach. Two B’nai Mitzvahs in 1 year, that is sort of bizarre! Jenna & Nicole where two awesome girls/Sisters who really just wanted to dance and have a good time, and mom & dad (Anne & Stuart) wanted to make that happen for them. On this event we brought our Video Dance Party Package, which makes it fun for everyone, even the non-dancers where entertained by the selections of old and new videos. The staff of the Dunes Resort where very helpful and easy to work with and I have to say this is a very cool place to have any sort of event in the Orange County area.http://www.newportdunesspecialevents.com/Family.html
So the awesome married team ofRon Levy Photography (949-280-6001) just sent us some brilliant pictures from the B’nai Mitzvah we handled last March at the Hyatt Regency in Newport. Tasty Sounds handled the entertainment and the lighting production. It was a great team effort on everyone’s part including Michelle Capanelli from the Hyatt, Ron & Gabrielle Levy,Shawna Yamamoto of Yamamoto Design and Melinda Gilchrist of Gilchrist Video. Both families couldn’t have been any cooler to work for, and the girls and all their friends where really delightful. This was our second event for Nancy & Paul Schneider and it was great seeing Nick get to kick back without any pressures on him. The Tasty Team was myself (DJ Alvis), DJ Brian, and Dancers Billy & Jen who got the crowd rocking, and our Creative Lighting Tech George brought it all home.
This is our second time working for the Rosenberg family, and once again it was a great experience. Kevin & Julie are the perfect parents who know what they want and step back and let you deliver it. We had done Josh’s party in 2008 and it was also at theCenter Clubin Costa Mesa, and this time for Shaina it was a jungle club theme. I had DJ Brian with me as well as my Two best dancers Billy & Jen who always bring their A game to every event. Our ultra cool Black Light package was added on as well as some of our club lighting, which as you can tell in the video really gives this great room an extra pump. Enjoy the video and listen for those girls singing Katy Perry at the top of their lungs, YOW!
We just got ahold of the photos from Jacob’s Bar Mitzvah, courtesy of Sharon Pulcino ofCreative Visions Photography– 714-838-9996 and they capture all the energy and excitement of that special evening. The event went real smooth thanks to the efforts of Cindy Lee at theUCI Club in Irvine, and of course the family Barry, Jantana, Jacob and their fireball little brother were equally easy to work for. We did play a few games that everyone knows like “LIMBO” and “Scavenger Hunt/Musical Chairs” but we also included a game you may ot see very often at other Mitzvah’s called “DUEL” which is a tricky version of the 2 man tug-o-war, great for Girls, Boys, & Men!
We have handled 3 out 4 Flietman Boy’s Bar Mitzvah’s, and Jack was the Final one this year atPrego Restaurantin Irvine (now closed 🙁 ). On a side note: this was a really great place to have a party in Orange County, it had a great vibe and what a great change from the no window ballrooms we are always in. So Jacks theme was Hockey, (Our first hockey party since our Stanley Cup Party for the Anaheim Ducks), and I decided to come up with a new game to work with his theme and Presto we created the “Hockey Challenge”, similar to our Basketball Free Throw, and our Quarterback Challenge, but I think much trickier and harder, (watch the video to see it). This was also the first time we added DJ Dayna to the mixx and she added that cool girl DJ vibe we are always looking for. And finally the hockey puck inspired cupcakes were some of the best cupcakes around, truly TASTY; I will post that info when i get it. So Hats or Hockey helmets off to the Flietman’s, especially Margie who has been one of our biggest supporters in the OC, and we hope to see them at many more upcoming events.
