Woodland Hills Bridal Show & Newport Beach Mitzvah Faire

Well it has been a busy week for the Tasty Sounds Crew, we did a Bridal show in Woodland Hills on Sunday and exhibited at a Temple in Aliso Viejo/Newport Beach last night. I definitely see an all around lower turnout than in previous years, (I think I talked to 5 people last night) but at least (almost) everyone was Cool at both shows, and we appreciate everyone who stopped by our booth to talk to us.

The "Two Party Chix" Company - (949-766-9921, Linda & Rochelle) put the whole Bar/Bat Mitzvah show together at the Temple Beth El of the OC last night, and squeezed us in at the last minute. Big thanks to the both of them for all their hard work.

Another big thanks goes out to the "Here Comes The Brides" crew for a year of great shows in a very tough time. Sunday was the last show for 2009, and Winston was a huge help all day long. Micki and Elijah are the creators of this Bridal Event, which I think we handled 12 stage fashion shows for them in 2009 (whew!) The two of them and their great crew bring a very successful show to the Los Angeles area, and we look forward to the new & improved 2010 season, along with all the models & vendors involved in this show.

Newport Sports Museum

Just finished handling a Bar Mitzvah at the Newport Sports Museum, what a cool place for an event! This place has tons of sports memorabilia of all kinds, real amazing collectibles from every sport, even surfing. Jennifer Alban, who was so easy to work with, is the events specialist you would want to contact. If your looking for something different in the OC, take a look. 949-721-9333 http://newportsportsmuseum.org

Walk To Defeat ALS Charity Events

It's been another successful year for the ALS Association's Walk to Defeat. This year they added a walk in Long Beach, which makes a total of three walks this year, (Ventura,Pasadena and Long Beach). DJ Brian has been ALS's official emcee/DJ, donating his time for eight years (he has his own banner!) and Tasty sounds has been a part of this charity organization for the last four years. Brian has met some of the coolest people through the years, and would like to thank Geovana DeAngelo, Amiee St. Pierre, Fred Fisher and of course all the PALS (people with ALS). If you would like to join the fight to Defeat ALS go to: www.alsa.org

Shady Canyon Country Club Fall Festival

Al & Brian had Another successful afternoon with all the Shady Canyon Kids. Part of the fun included the Costume Contest, Sack Races, Cake Walk, Hula Hoop Contests for the Mom's, and groovy tasty tunes. Many Thanks to the whole staff of Shady Canyon Country Club for making our jobs easy, especially to Alexis, Mark & Jessie.

New Website Goes Live

Well it's the day after Halloween, November 1st and we are officially live with our new website. It's been a long but exciting and creative process. We are a small company so we don't have the $ for a market research test run, with focus groups, and if we did I probably wouldn't go that route anyway. So...if you see something that bothers you call us, or email me at djalvis@tastysounds.com, I look forward to all feedback positive or negative.
